Does Event Marketing have a fit with Augmented Video?

Various articles have been written about the new augmented video technology that has begun to have applications within a variety of venues, but what is it?
Augmented Video - When real world elements are merged (augmented) by computer generated imagery resulting in interactive and digitally usable information.
For example. . .
- The first down line seen on the TV screen during a football game. The yellow line is virtually drawn over the real-world players in real time
- When projectors and screens insert objects or historical figures into the real-environment of a museum exhibit in order to enhance a visitors' experience
- Point a webcam or a cell phone camera at a designated location using a mobile application in order to see a schedule of stage events.
As applications develop incorporating augmented video, soon attendees will be pointing their camera phones at conference areas, exhibits and presentations in order to find out information about upcoming speakers and schedules. A pre-show mailer brought back to an event and pointed at a specific place may result in a video specific to a certain type of attendee. The opportunities to use this technology will become limitless in event marketing and will allow users to obtain real-time information.
