GALLO Exhibit Design Case Study - Orlando Baking Company

The Orlando Baking Company , is a regionally well-known family-owned baking company based out of Cleveland, OH -- but originally founded in Italy over 100 years ago. The Orlando Baking Company began speaking with GALLO in October 2010 to discuss a new booth design for the International Pizza Expo, being held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, March 1-3, 2011.

Initial Client Needs: The desire for a 10x20 booth space configuration that could be converted and used as a 10x10 configuration, with a large "working" front display counter, and an abundance of product display areas, including racks, shelves, and rollable display carts.

How the GALLO Design Solved the Client's Exhibit Design Needs: After further discussion, the Orlando Baking Company decided to begin with a 10x10 configuration, then to "upsize" or add onto the booth later, GALLO was able to work with the client to ultimately showcase the most "product display" area as possible even though the space was a 10x10 instead of a 10x20. The front counter was redesigned several time to accommodate shelving and product display area instead of being a fixture in the booth.

The Timeframe to Construct the Exhibit: The  final booth design was client-approved in late January, which left GALLO with just 4 full weeks to build the booth for a late February ship date. (Booth pictured to the left is the Orlando Baking booth being constructed.)

Special Customizations: Emilie Martinko, GALLO Account Director states, "The most custom component of the booth is the front display counter -- It looks like one large piece, but is actually a 3-part counter that not only accommodates graphics and branding, but also features shelving, displays, and plenty of inside storage." It also has room for a convection oven and a food prep / workstation. The counter can be used with or without the center piece should the client decide to optimize their booth space by not using the convection oven at a future trade show

The process of creating a new booth design involves multiple face-to-face marketing meetings with the exhibitor and the GALLO design team. Typically multiple renderings are designed to "tweak" the concepts to best meet the client's needs beyond the original design. With the Orlando Banking Company project, the final design of the front reception cabinet took the most time to refine, but the rest of the booth design was very well reflected within the rendering. Orlando Baking Company is excited to debut their new booth and "look" at the upcoming International Pizza Expo. Show photos will be posted post-show, so stay tuned!

Nice job, Gallo! Big impact in a small space, and room for an oven, too. What more could a client ask for? Very impressive. Keep up the good work!
